Rocketloud 2012

ROCKETLOUD 2012 is a first of its kind online Battle of Bands in Meerut with an objective to provide a platform and highlight each and every school band or amateur band in the city so that they can emerge out as semipro band in the city and take a step further to become a pro band in the country.

 The competition is divided into two levels -
 1. LEVEL I - Cover Round
2. LEVEL II - Compose Round

 Level I - Cover Round (15.12.12 - 15.01.13)

In this round, the band will have to cover a song (declared by us) and then submit the video and audio of the same. The cover version should sound exactly or nearly as the original (as in same solos, same riffs) however you can add your own elements in between as per your playing style.

 Level II - Compose Round (18.01.2013 - 8.02.2013) 

In this round, the band will have to compose a song (lyrics will be provided) and then submit the video and audio of the same. Only 4 bands will be shortlisted for Level II.

ENTRY FEE - Rs 100 per band

PRIZE MONEY - An Acoustic Guitar

REQUIREMENTS -

1.      An email id in the name of the band. (For official communication).

2.      A facebook page in the name of the band.

PROCEDURE/INSTRUCTIONS -

1. To Register your band type RL and send it to 90 45 65 75 85

 2. You will receive a reply with the details of entry fee submission.

3. After successful submission, your registration details will be mailed to the band's email id.

 4. CLICK HERE to know the song which your band will have to cover for LEVEL I.

5. Shoot a music video of the cover version of the given song and upload it to your YOUTUBE channel or your facebook page and post the link on B.A.M. facebook Page(sound should be clearly audible with no noise)


 8. Two bands out of the entries received having maximum post likes on our facebook page (calculated till 15.01.2012) will be promoted to the next level)

 9. Two more bands will be shortlisted for Level II from the rest of the entries by our panel.

 10. The shortlisted bands list for Level II will be published on 17.01.2013 on B.A.M.'s page along with the instructions for Level II and the bands will be mailed for the same.

11. Final winner will be declared on 13.02.2013

Register for Arrythmia - Synapse 2012 Battle of Bands

One of the biggest and renowned battle of bands in Delhi University - ARRYTHMIA-2012 of Maulana Azad Medical College is scheduled this september.

RULES FOR THE EVENT - The event has 2 stages...
1- Pre-lims
2-Finals
15 bands will be selected to compete in the prelims. Each band will get 20 mins on stage including the sound check. Each band has to have two Orginal Compositions(no specific genre) in their setlist. After the Pre-lims 7 bands will be selected for the final event. All bands now will get 30 mins on stage including soundcheck.

1st - Rs.10,000/- + gift vouchers
2nd - Rs.3000/- + gift vouchers Worth Rs.5000/-

Register your Band to perform at Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2012 | New Delhi

A festival of ideas, the India Today Youth Summit is a platform especially designed for young India. It’s a space that allows youngsters to interact with some of their icons in a two way conversation, hear their stories and learn from their experiences. It is also an event that recognizes the power of the mind and celebrates it through ideas, music and art by recognizing the best in their field and also giving them a stage to create, perform and engage.


Five (5) artists/bands will be selected for auditions on the basis of voting. These bands will be then called for auditions and the winners will get the chance to perform at the event.
India Today Youth Summit is one of the biggest youth events by India Today Group, India’s leading media conglomerate . Youth icons from cricket, bollywood, top corporate, sportsmen, authors, political leaders participate in the event.
The selected bands will get a chance to perform in front of celebrity youth icons and a large audience. The exposure of the event is enormous - reaching all media channels (TV, Print, Internet, Social Media and Radio) .

Meerut Stars ready to Rock Delhi University

Meerut teens are always in the limelight whether it is academics or the subject very close to their heart, Music. This time three youngsters from Meerut got admission in the most reputed university of India on the basis of their love for performing arts. They have been selected via Extra Curricular Activities Quota in Delhi University.
Saptak Sharma, a student of St. Mary's Academy Meerut, who is a well known Tabla Player in Meerut and is also a part of Meerut based Rock Band, The Androids has got admission in the renowned Kirorimal College for B.Com Hons.
Devika Aggarwal, a student of Meerut Public Girls School, Meerut, who is an excellent classical singer, has got admission in Miranda House for B.A. Music.
Sanskriti Goel, a student of Sophia Girls School, Meerut, who is an outstanding Kathak Dancer, has got admission in Jesus and Mary College for B.A. Economics Hons.
B.A.M. wishes them luck for their brilliant and bright future.
